Genova Week 2025
From 19 to 23 May 2025, the group gathered for the final time in Genova, Italy. After a welcome by the coordinators, Monday focused on surrogacy in the EU and GDPR-related damages, followed by participant presentations and a guided city tour.
Tuesday covered topics like conflicting divorce and adoption laws, international maritime law, and arbitration in tax matters. Wednesday featured lectures on the EU’s SLAPP regulation, communication via social media in civil procedure, and space law. Many participants visited the Genova Aquarium in the afternoon.
On Thursday, the group prepared and held the traditional moot court and discussed legal gender recognition in the final presentations. The week ended on Friday with the moot court session and a group reflection, followed by heartfelt farewells and hopes to stay in touch.
